Justin Smith, aka “Smitty”, is a professional lacrosse player for the Boston Cannons. Smitty has been playing Professional Lacrosse for the last six years. Currently playing on the Boston Cannons at midfield, in 2010 he accumulated 24 points, along with two game-winning goals. Justin attended and played lacrosse at Salisbury University and graduated with a communications and business minor. He was a two-time first team USILA All-American, named Division III Player of the Year in 2005, as well as Division III Midfield of the year.
He also won 3 consecutive National Championships, ending his college career with a 49 game winning streak. After Salisbury, Smitty began his professional lacrosse playing career with the Rochester Rattlers before ending his season early with an ACL injury. After battling back from a knee injury from hours upon hours of hard work and recovery, Justin Smith went onto lead the Philadelphia Barrage to 2 major league lacrosse championships in 3 seasons.
Smitty currently works for Mueller Corporation based in East Bridgewater, Mass. while still living in Annapolis, MD. He is changing the face of the game with what is simply known as “chroming.” His intuitive ideas have now come to life on the lacrosse field. Be sure to check how he is chroming the sporting industry in the links below.
The clinic attendees received some up close and personal shooting instruction, as can be seen by the photos below. All that attended learned a great deal and had great fun.
The clinic attendees learned that Smitty can throw around 101 MPH right handed and 100 MPH left handed. Only the most bravest of goalies would stand between him and a goal. Well, our very own varsity goalie Brendan Cutting gave it a try.
